The LFIA kindergarten welcomes children as youngas 2 and a half. The programs taught here are in conjunction with the programs of the French Education Department.
In kindergarten, pupils acquire autonomy, skills and abilities that will help them prepare for elementary school. They also develop their speaking skills in a rich and organised way.
Minded by teachers and helped by kindergarten assistants, the children grow up and evolve in a reassuring and stimulating environment.
THE 5 AIMS OF KINDERGARTEN
1) develop language
2) become a pupil
3) act and express oneself with one’s body
4) discover the world
5) feel, sense, imagine and create
All the activities organised in kindergarten help children develop their skills in a harmonious environment.
The French kindergarten system is composed of three levels: Petite Section (first year), Moyenne Section (second year) and Grande Section (third year). The youngest (as of 2.5 year-olds) can be welcomed in the Toute Petite Section.
Non-French-speaking children are strongly advised to attend the Toute Petite Section and the Petite Section in order to help them learn French language.
